I would like to evaluate the potential environmental impact of
1) a recycling process of a plastic product (closed loop recycling). Is there such a recycling process? How could I build one of this type?
2) a recycling process of a plastic product (open loop recycling). Is there such a recycling process? How could I build one of this type?

Thank you for your thread. I am quite unsure of what is meant by open versus closed loop but you can have a look in the following process "polyethylene terephthalate production, granulate, amorphous, recycled", it might be usefull for you.
