For a project, I'm supposed to address the End-of-Life scenarios for some newly developed materials and products. in the tasks description it is mentioned : Possible end-of-life options available is Landfill – Anaerobic digestion (adaptation of Ecoinvent model for composites, expected final output is that 6% of the generated landfill gas energy is converted into electricity and 2% into heat.).
I did not have any experience with EOL analysis so i have read tonnes of articles about the approaches (Cut-off, Avoided burden, etc.) since weeks but i dont know exactly where to start this task. The other issue is that production partners say they did not have waste, so the study would be just benchmarking anyways (I do have the production data though). Should i do that in software, e.g. GaBi (problem might be lack of data in my GaBi database for these new nano-composite)? or just choosing an approach and go ahead with the mathematical modeling manually?
