On 9 June 2021, the General Assembly of the ecoinvent Association accepted Mr. Rolf Frischknecht’s return of the honorary membership.
Mr. Frischknecht was one of the founding and leading members of the very beginnings of the ecoinvent database, playing a crucial role in the design, development, market introduction and operation of its initial versions, specifically versions 1 and 2. For this very role, Mr. Frischknecht was offered an honorary membership in the General Assembly of the ecoinvent Association in 2015.
On Wednesday, 28 April 2021, our deputy director, Emilia Moreno Ruiz, participated in the SAP Sustainability Summit, joining the panel ‘Going Faster with Data-Driven Partnerships on Climate Change’.
Along with representatives from consultancy Bearing Point and SAP, Emilia discussed data needs behind calculating and managing product footprint to understand emissions across a product’s lifecycle.
