Why are some properties already filled out?
Exchanges (with a mass) already present in the ecoinvent master data already have property data for at least the six mandatory properties; wet mass, dry mass, water in wet mass, water content, carbon content, fossil and carbon content, non-fossil. When an existing exchange is added to a dataset, these existing properties will follow the exchange into the dataset. The default properties data can be changed by the data provider in the ecoEditor if different, specific data is available.
